GOAL

Mahle, Koch, Kol and Koda communities are empowered to achieve their education and development goals while strengthening their linguistic and cultural identities

TARGET GROUPS

Right Holders: Adult (men & women both), youth, children from Mahle, Koch, Kol and Koda communities.

Duty Bearers: Traditional leaders, Committee members of community, Local govt. Health workers(nurses, mid-wives, doctors), Local school teachers, officials, youth development department, Local member of parliament, Upazilla chairman and member.

OUTCOME

Individual level: Children have improved access to relevant pre-primary education.

Communities’ members have increased capacity to access rights and utilize local resources for establishing food security, improving health and education and promoting cultural identity.

Civil Society level: Communities have unity, self confidence, a healthy sense of identity and increased awareness of development issues and rights in their context as a foundation for community-led action.

Institutional level: The local government leaders and the wider society have increased knowledge/changed attitudes/changed behavior with respect to human rights for minorities and groups with a particular need for rights protection.

Government authorities/people in power/leaders have changed attitudes/increased capacity with respect to democratic principles.
