1. Training & Experiences:
A. Experiences on leprosy
There are 7 years practical working experiences in the field of leprosy. During this period received 1 year training course on paramedical worker, 1 week TOT on health education, 2 months physiotherapy in Leprosy and 1 week eye complication management.
B. Experience on Prevention of Impairment & Disability in Leprosy
In 1993 started job as disability prevention officer and received 9 months physiotherapy technician training course. Become responsible for disability prevention in northern 4 district and as well as secretary of PACOD sub-committee of LTCC of Bangladesh and at present chairman of PACOD sub-committee of LTCC.
C. Experiences as a trainer
- Facilitated many training on TLCA, POD-leprosy, medical officer organized by DBLM/TLMIB.
- In 1996 I used to facilitate and coordinate a 9 months Physiotherapy Technician Course arranged by DBLM training center as a chief facilitator.
- Worked as co-facilitator in international medical officer courses arranged by TLMIB training center in last few years.
- I have worked as a chief facilitator in basic CBR course arranged by TLMIB training center.
D. Experiences on Research
In 1996 involved in the Bangladesh Acute Nerve Damage Study (BANDS) research project and in 1997 Dr. Richard Paul Croft gave me the responsibility of supervision of Trial on Prevention of Disability (TRIPOD) research. I also initially involve in many other research such as Contact of Leprosy (COLEP) and other small researches conducted by TLMI Bangladesh. In 2015 I have coordinated in research to see Diabetes Mellitus among leprosy disabled and at Effective Pressure Reduction Study is in hand for northern 4 districts.
E. Experiences on Monitoring & Evaluation
In I have received Basic Evaluation and Monitoring course in Alahabad, India and become a member of Evaluation Monitoring Network (EMN) of TLMI. I have worked as an external evaluator of leprosy project in Papua New Guinea (PNG). I have participated as an evaluator in mid-term evaluation of Chittagong Hill Tract (CHT) project in 2014 and Dinajpur sustainable CBR project (DSCBRP) in 2015.
F. Experiences on working with people with Disability other than leprosy.
Received one year training on Physiotherapy management of people affected by disability arranged by LAMB Bangladesh. I used to work directly for providing services for people with disabilities and train co-workers. Later I have received several trainings on the management of disabilities by Center for Disability & Development (CDD). I have got opportunities to become skilled by working with the people affected by disability, especially children with Clubfoot. A total of 30 months related trainings and 20 years working experiences on management of people with disabilities.
G. Experience on working in abroad
From April 1, 2008 to June 30 2008 in Timor Leste to build up the capacity on leprosy management of TLM and Government health staff of Timor Leste. From June 5 – 16, 2015 I have worked with earthquakes victim at Anandaban Hospital TLMI-Nepal.
H. Experiences as a Manager of TB program.
January 2006 to June 2011, I worked in TB Control Project as a Project Manager to organize everything to establish the project. I have received several training on Management and technical aspect of TB management from BRAC training division and Government of Bangladesh. During the course of service I have learned very well on staff management, financial control and project monitoring. I used facilitate in the training of Government Health staff on TB arranged by NTP to all upazila of Thakurgaon and Panchagarh district. A total of 12 weeks training on management development received during this period.
I. Manager of CBR program.
In June 2011 I have joined in Community Based Rehabilitation Project as a project manager and working with the core values of CBR project those are Participation, Empowerment, Sustainability, Independence and Development. Considering livelihood and empowerment I have gathered realistic knowledge within CBR approaches.

I can speak and write English very good. I used to deliver lecture in English in India, Nepal, Timor Leste and PNG.
